SELANGOR, July 22, 2022 – Informa Markets, the organiser of ASIAWATER Expo & Forum 2022, the region’s leading water and wastewater event for developing Asia, and the National Water Services Commission (SPAN) came together to clean and maintain the shores of Jenderam Hilir river.
The Jenderam Hilir river has been adopted by SPAN to help the residents living along the riverbanks to maintain its natural eco-system and reinforcing the integrity of the riverbanks, preventing them from erosions.
Some of the efforts in maintaining and cleaning of the river is by planting new trees and removing any sorts of pollutants and wastes along the riverbanks. The Jenderam Hilir riverbanks is also seen to be the natural nesting grounds for local swans living in the area.
SPAN has made it a bi-weekly activity for them to maintain and clean up the riverbanks and ASIAWATER team was honoured with an invitation to be part of this virtuous activity.
ASIAWATER will be organising more river cleaning activities building up before the event on the 7 – 9 December 2022 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Stay tuned for the next river cleaning announcement.
