YAB Tun Dr. Mahathir Bin Mohamad,
Prime Minister of Malaysia

A Message from the Minister of Water, Land and Natural Resources Malaysia (KATS)

"There are big opportunities in Malaysia especially within the water and wastewater management sector. Only 56% of the population is served by a wastewater treatment plant, whilst the rest rely on septic tanks and pour flush systems. There is limited connectivity to sewerage networks, as well as limited coverage of those networks that contribute to the growth of the sector. I am indeed delighted to welcome all local and international participants, delegates, and visitors to the 11th edition of ASIAWATER 2020/AWARE’ 20 and I wish you an informative and successful visit to the exhibition."

YB. Tuan Charles Anthony Santiago
YB. Dr. Xavier Jayakumar,
Minister of Water, Land and Natural Resources Malaysia (KATS)
