Asia’s largest water industry event will focus on technological advances in improving energy efficiency and the adoption of renewable energy in water supply and management. The 6th ASIAWATER Exhibition & Conference to be held from 6-8 April 2010 at the KL Convention Centre will be highlighting the need to improve processes to be greener and more sustainable. |

“The water supply, sewerage and irrigation sectors require substantial energy usage. One example is industrial pumps. As they are on 24 hours a day, more energy efficient ones will bring about huge savings and also greatly reduce greenhouse gases. The ASIAWATER 2010 Expo will be packed with the latest green solutions and systems that will be seen for the first time in the region”, said Ms Airin Fadila, AVP, AMB Exhibitions.
ASIAWATER 2010 includes an international Expo featuring over 500 exhibitors, an international conference, business matching programs and specialized technology symposiums. The event is open to trade visitors only. Endorsed by the International Water Association and the Department of Water Supply, Malaysia, visitors will get up to speed on the latest in water supply management, sewerage management, industrial wastewater treatment, water resource management, flood control and many more.

Over 20 papers will be presented during the 3-day event. Notable topics among the papers to be presented include “ADVANTAGES & FEATURES OF NEW DECENTRALISED SEWAGE TREATMENT SYSTEM” presented by Dr. Parinya Nilwatcharaporn of Genbina Group, “USE OF BIOFILTER TECHNOLOGY IN WASTE WATER TREATMENT” by Prof. Dr. Azni Idris of UPM as well as “BENEFIT AND ENERGY SAVING OF USING VARIBLE SPEED DRIVE IN WATER APPLICATION” by Yew Loo Guan of Danfoss Industries Sdn Bhd.
