In conjunction with "WORLD WATER DAY" this year, based on the theme "Transboundary Water Related Disasters : Lessons to be Learned", this seminar will cover a range of topics related to water disaster management, including tsunamis, floods and landslides. The seminar provides the latest information on the management and mitigation of water-related disasters within the ASEAN region and how we could learn from the experiences in coping with the disasters and the initiatives taken to produce their impacts. This seminar will be hosted by the Department of Irrigation and Drainage, Malaysia ( DID ) and Malaysia Water Partnership ( MyWP ).
Over 300 delegates from across the region are expected to gather in Kuala Lumpur for the AWARE 2012 Seminar. They will be in town to listen to top industry experts and to network with fellow industry professionals.
